Esteve Amat Bertran is a MSCA-BP researcher. He is an Industrial Electronic Engineer (UAB). His PhD is in Electronics Engineering (UAB, 2009).

His investigation activities are focused in the areas of nanofabrication, device simulation and electrical characterization of emerging nano-devices. He developed new methods for the fabrication of silicon nanostructures, he build customized nanoelectronic devices (FETs & SETs).

His research activities have been conducted at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB, 2004-2010), at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC, 2011-2014), at CEA-Leti (Grenoble, France) in 2014, and since 2016 he is collaborating with NanoNEMS reserach group at IMB-CNM (CSIC) focused on nanofabrication and electrical simulation of emerging devices. He has contributed to international conferences with +70 works, and published +40 contributions in peer reviewed journals. He has been involved in +10 R&D projects (national and European) in collaboration with semiconductor industry.

He has been awarded with the Juan de la Cierva Fellowship (2010); Intel Early Career Faculty Honor award from Intel (2012); Best oral contribution at DCIS (2012) held in Avignon (France); Outstanding contribution at MIXDES (2013) held in Gdansk (Poland); best poster in PATMOS (2016) held in Bremen (Germany); Best journal contribution (2018) in IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing; Best poster contribution in CDE (2025) held in Malaga (Spain).
