Jordi Llobet Sixto is a MSCA- BP researcher. He is an Industrial Electronic Engineer (EUPMT-UPC), a Material Engineer (UAB) and a Master in Nanotechnology (UAB). His PhD is in Material Science (UAB, 2016).

He holds experience both as an engineer (2006-2012) and as a researcher (2013-currently). His investigation activities are focused in the areas of nanofabrication and characterization for different applications, from fundamental research to higher TRL. He developed new methods for the fabrication of silicon nanostructures, he build customized nanoelectronic devices (NEMS, FETs and SETs), as well as novel nanostructures to enhance solar absorption with huge potentiality in photovoltaics.

His research activities have been conducted at IMB-CNM CSIC (Spain, 2013-2017 and 2021-currently), at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (Portugal, 2017-2021), and two short research stays. He is coauthor of 40 peer-reviewed journal papers participating in 13 funded research projects (FP7, H2020, Spanish and Portuguese) and contributed to international conferences with 62 works. He has been involved in 12 R&D projects in collaboration with industry.

He has been awarded with the MSCA Individual Fellowship (2020); Beatriu de Pinós MSCA Confund (2019); 1st position – Juan de la Cierva Incorporación (2019); INL Seed Grant (2020); MSCA Seal of Excellence (2018); IBM and SwissLitho’s Young Investigator Award (2016) and 12 micrograph images awarded in international contests.
